  • Longevity is 50-150 years
  • Stems have sharp spiny edges w/leaves that are shaped like accordion fans
  • Has tiny hair-like fibers on leaf tips
  • Has a edible drupe (like a cherry or plum)
  • Is drought and somewhat fire resistant & is cold hardy
