Olea europaea (olea euro-paea)
- Originated in West India South Asia
- Typically grows to 20 to 30 feet tall with a rounded crown
- Young trees have smooth gray bark, but trunks and branches will gnarl somewhat picturesquely with age
- Undersides of leaves a silver/gray
- Trees transplant easily
- Drought tolerant, evergreen
- Attracts birds and bees
